What goes into a repair
A good paint repair is built up in layers. Scroll through the stages of a typical panel repair, from bare metal to the final gloss.
-
01
Bare panel
The damaged panel is repaired back to shape, or replaced if it can’t be saved.
-
02
Filler and shaping
Small imperfections are filled and sanded flat so the panel lines run true again.
-
03
Primer
Seals the repair and gives the paint a smooth surface to grip.
-
04
Base coat
The colour, mixed to your car’s paint code and matched to the panels around it.
-
05
Clear coat
The gloss and protection layer, polished once it’s cured.
